Terms And Conditions

1. PARTIES

In these conditions of sale “the Company” means Fineplan Video Services (FVS) (a division of Fineplan Securities Limited), “the Purchaser” means any individual, firm, company or corporation placing an order with the Company, “Order” means the order placed by the Purchaser with the Company for goods to be supplied by the Company and “Goods” shall mean all Goods of any type covered by the order.

2. VALIDITY OF TERMS

All orders placed with the Company will be governed by these conditions of sale.

3. QUOTATIONS, OFFERS AND ACCEPTANCES

a. Quotations are subject to change at any time and are valid 30 days from issue unless an alternative period is indicated.
b. Any order placed by the Purchaser shall be deemed to be an offer on the basis that these Terms and Conditions are acceptable to the Purchaser.
c. Acceptance of the Goods by the Purchaser shall be conclusive evidence before any Court of Law or Arbitrator that these Terms and Conditions apply.

4. PRICES

Prices quoted apply to the quantities and delivery rates as stated on our website and any variation requested by the Purchaser in quantity, specification and rates of delivery may necessitate a price revision. Prices are exclusive of 20% value added tax (VAT) which will be added on Checkout unless Purchaser is outside the EEC or is a EEC VAT Registered Company outside the UK and can provide proof of local VAT registration.

5. PAYMENT

a. Except for Account Customers - Confirmed Payment is due before goods can be shipped to the Purchaser.
b. Payment may be made by Credit or Debit card or by any other method agreed between the Company and the Purchaser.
c. For Account Customers all goods will be invoiced on dispatch and unless an alternative agreement has been confirmed by the Company - payment is due by the end of the month following the invoice date.

6. DELIVERY

Delivery dates quoted are the Company's best estimate for delivery. Whilst every effort will be made to keep to quoted delivery dates the Company shall be under no liability whatsoever if for any reason delivery is delayed.

7. DAMAGE AND LOSS IN TRANSIT

a. Goods should be examined for damage immediately they are received. Damage must be notified by telephone, fax or e-mail within 72 hours of receipt. Damaged Goods will be collected for inspection and if damage is confirmed by us then a replacement will be sent.
b. Shortages in the delivery must be notified within 48 hours by telephone, fax or e-mail.
c. Non-delivery of the whole consignment must be notified within 7 days of receipt of our confirmation of despatch.

8. CANCELLATION

Any order placed and accepted by the Company may be cancelled prior to shipment. If cancellation is after shipment then condition 9. below shall apply.

9. RETURNS POLICY

a. Any item purchased may be returned by the Customer within 7 days for a refund with a 10% restocking charge excluding the delivery charge so long as the item has not been used and is in its original sealed packaging. The Purchaser must first obtain a returns number from the Returns Department.
b. The Purchaser is responsible for ensuring that all returns are delivered to the company and must provide a signed proof of delivery if requested.
c. If Goods are returned damaged or without the original packing or any accessory or handbook then the Company reserves the right to refuse a refund. The Goods will then be returned to the customer and return carriage must be paid by the customer in accordance with the Company's standard carriage charge schedule.

10. WARRANTY

a. DVR's and Cameras - 3 years parts and labour if purchased after January 2021. 2 years parts and labour if purchased before January 2021 
b. Monitors - Branded Monitors have a Direct Manufacturer's Warranty - Usually 2 or 3 years. FVS Monitors & Test Monitors have a          1 year Warranty.
c. Accessories apart from Batteries - 1 year product replacement.
d. Batteries and Consumables - 90 days product replacement.

11. WARRANTY PROCEDURE

a. Telephone our Service and Technical Centre and speak to a Technician.
b. The fault should be described and the Technician will decide whether the item must be returned.
c. When an item is to be returned you will be given an RMA number after discussing the fault with a Technician. This RMA number must be included with the package to be returned.
d. DVR's:
If the product is a DVR that was purchased within 3 months of the fault occurring and the product is located at an address within Mainland UK then we will collect the unit. If confirmed faulty on receipt it will be repaired or replaced and returned to you free of charge. If the DVR is more than 3 months old and still within the warranty period or located outside Mainland UK then it must be returned to our Service Department and it will be repaired or replaced and returned to the Purchaser free of charge if within Mainland UK. A return carriage charge will apply outside Mainland UK.
e. Cameras:
If the product is a Camera that was purchased within 14 days of the fault occurring and the product is located at an address within Mainland UK then we will collect the unit. If confirmed faulty on receipt it will be repaired or replaced and returned to you free of charge. If the Camera is more than 14 days old and still within the Warranty period or located outside Mainland UK then it must be returned to our Service Department and it will be repaired or replaced and returned to the Purchaser free of charge. A return carriage charge will apply outside Mainland UK.
f. Monitors:
If the product is a Monitor that does not have a Direct Manufacturers Warranty and was purchased within 3 months of the fault occurring and the product is located at an address within Mainland UK then we will collect the unit. If confirmed faulty on receipt it will be repaired or replaced and returned to you free of charge. A return carriage charge will apply outside Mainland UK. If the Monitor is more than 3 months old and still within the Warranty period or located outside Mainland UK then it must be returned to our Service Department and it will be repaired or replaced and returned to the Purchaser free of charge.
g. All other Product must be returned to our Service Department with the RMA number that we have provided. If confirmed faulty the Product will be returned or replaced free of charge. A return carriage charge will apply outside Mainland UK.

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Notwithstanding any of the above Terms and Conditions any damages recoverable by a Purchaser will be limited to the Invoice Price paid for the Goods Purchased. In no circumstances whatsoever will the Company be liable for consequential losses of any nature including indirect loss, loss of use, profit or loss of contracts.

13. GENERAL

Disputes relating to any of the above terms will be settled within the guidelines of English Law and the parties will submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.

These Terms and Conditions will apply to the original purchaser or to to another party if notified and accepted by the Company.
